Hey Team-

Hope you had a great summer weekend!

The weather this weekend in the NY area was a bit rainy... but.. overall was nice to spend time with the family...

On Sunday AM... I usually take some "COACH D" time at the local Starbucks... coffee + venti ice water (it is free, I love the cup, and it gets my hydration started early)....

And what was great today, was my conversation with a gentleman, probably in his mid 70s, just talking baseball. He told me about growing up in Brooklyn, being a life-long Dodger fan.. and how baseball was such a great part of his life..

Some of his best times were from watching some of the Brooklyn Greats duel it out each year against the Bronx Bombers...

As  we were talking, I couldn't help but watch him put 2 packets of splenda in his coffee... with such grace and fluidity, I knew he must do this every, single, day.  That was his routine.. Coffee + Splenda = Great Morning Coffee.

This reminded me of a female client I had years ago, who would drink 3 cups of coffee per day. Every, single day. She would put 2 packets of splenda with her coffee. She was not losing weight and was frustrated.

I asked her, "How are you eating?" Of course, she said, "Great"....

And, "How are you drinking?"... of course.. she said, "Great"...

Until you break it down!

She did not even count splenda as a part of her diet....

As if it was just pixie dust that she sprinkles into her drink 3x/ day...

Completely unaware of the synthetic product she was using 6x/ day.

That was 42 packets per week... and 2,184 packets per year!

That is nuts!!!

If you were to pour out 2,184 packets of splenda into a bowl, how many bowls would that be?

This is my point. This example is splenda....

But what if it were the M & Ms you have a handful of every night...

Or the handful of potato chips... "It is only 1 handful after dinner every night Coach"...

The reality is this...

The handful is not the big deal...

It is the habitof doing something every single day...

Even a small habit has big effects...

One packet of splenda is not the issue...

The issue is the habit...

It is like baseball players that only chew tobacco during the season..

The season is 9 months!!!

Never underestimate simple habits...

Never underestimate how devastating they can be when it comes to reaching your goals...

That teaspoon of sugar in your coffee...

That splash of cream...

Those 5-10 shakes of the salt shaker each meal...

It all has an effect....

And the effect could be compromising your goals....

The effect could be the reason why you "think" you are eating well, training hard, but not losing weight or gaining muscle....

Habits matter.

More to come on this...

Very easily this site will most likely irrefutably perhaps end up being popular including numerous weblogs individuals, in order to it’s persistent content pieces or possibly views. https://j9korea.com/
