Hey Team-

Hope you guys had a great weekend! Last week was a busy one for me with a few events in the city....

On Thursday... I did 23,000 steps as I hiked through the Concrete Jungle on a hot Summer day....

Having a speaking engagement at 8am.. and a book launch party at 7pm...

That leaves a lot of time in between...

And I was absolutely exhausted by the end of the day... and...

It even carried into the next day!

Now... Why was I so smoked?

I got off my normal routine...

You see... being a morning person, my peak hours are between 5am-2pm...

After that.. my performance slides...

The fact that I had to be "ON" for so many more hours hurt me.... 

I was "forcing" myself to not only stay awake.. but stay busy during the in-between time.. so I walked a tremendous amount.. in the sun.. somewhat dehydrated...

Bad idea.

My normal routine is to WORK early... hit the gym mid-day.. do  some mid-afternoon work.... run... then wind in down for the night.... allowing the mind to relax and calm itself as sleep approaches...

I know... a bit rigid... but most people that have consistent results are a bit rigid.. and even boring!

So, this week... I am going to add one thing to my Routine...

OWNERSHIP.

I am going to own the routine even more than I already do....

And that means, not deviating... and also realizing the "things" that not only lead to a great day today, but a great day tomorrow. 

Even though 23,000 steps sounds great... my legs were shot for the run the next day... 

My Energywas fried due to the lack of hydration....

So what part of your routine can you own more?

Where can you be better as it relates to your routine?

Dialing that in can lead to very consistent and calculated results....

But it takes daily disciplines to WIN THE DAY....

Let's start this week really getting serious....
