365 days in a year.
27,375 in a 75 year lifespan.
That is a lot of days to hold yourself accountable, striving for perfection, and to be "happy" and "fulfilled" with a healthy perspective.
I mean think about it.. almost 30,000 days and we as people have the expectation that everyday can make for.. a "Great" Day!
That is extreme optimism. That is awesome.
But what if we were able to look at 30,000 days, and realize that if even 50% are great days, we have 15,000 days of life to make MAGIC happen.
That is a lot of time to find your greatness.
That is a lot of time to achieve your goals.
When you break things down to a granular level, like days on this planet, you learn a few things.
1. Don't take things to seriously.
2. Take the right things very seriously.
3. Appreciate what you have in terms of "time" with people you love and care for.
4. Don't take your days for granted...you only have so many.. Really!
5. Do what you love...
I was speaking with one of my athletes the other day, and we were having a "deep" chat.. about being one day older.
Every day you gain in age, you lose on life's precious clock.. the clock is always ticking...
If YOU came at things from this perspective.. would you give certain things as much "weight" as you do?
Would you be more focused on the quality of your day?
The value you are bringing to the day and looking to get out of the day?
These are all important questions to keep us humble, focused, and doing what we are "meant" to do..
If we knew consciously the "time was ticking".. I could bet that we would take more risks.. since our life depends on it..
That dream you have of making it in business, broadway, or whatever you strive for.. you would realize that you don't have "forever"...
So the objective of this blog today was not to create levels of deep rooted depression about your life "ending".. but rather as an inspiration to get your life started..
Don't "accept" your position if you do not love it..
Although many of us have 15,000 days.. many are walking around as if it is day 14,999 ... in a state of somber darkness, filled with regret, passion-less, and not having pursued their dreams and what would light them up every morning..
I encourage each of you to find your "light".. and that feeling of WINNING..
Start WINNING again...
With each Win... comes greater belief, confidence, and satisfaction of you are truly immersed in what you do.. for the right reasons. #likeapro.
