I wanted to share something with you today that has been plaguing me for some time....
Lack of Action due to Higher Levels of Thought...
What do I mean?
Simple.
You spend so much time "thinking" about how to do something.. that you actually are believing you are "doing" it.. but when you finally gain consciousness to the fact you have just been thinking... and not doing... you realize how far behind you really are... and it is ALL YOUR FAULT!
Now.. do I get stuff done.. absolutely!
But.. could I be that much better?
Totally can.
I find myself overthinking the perfect plan... thinking of all that could go right.. followed by all that could go wrong..and eventually end up in a loop... or death spiral as it relates to achievement...
So what do you do about this?
Simple.
TAKE ACTION. Break the process down with a few simple questions and answers.
What do you want to do?___________________
What would you need to do to achieve it in 3-5 Steps?___________________
Who do you need to help you?(List These People)_____________________
Now go take the first step...
I found this to be a very simple process to STOP OVERTHINKING and START Achieving...
As much as people say you can solve all problems in your head... they are wrong..
This can lead to over-analysis...over-thinking.. over-planning.... and stalling...
Instead.. jump on stage... and start ACTING.
Let's face it.. were you ever really totally ready for anything in life?
ALL of your (FIRSTS)... No way... but the second time around.. you were that much more ready...
TAKE ACTION.
Action solves problems and creates new ones... but problems are symbolic of life...
No Problems = No Heartbeat...
But I do want to say this... in addition to living in your own mind.. identify all the other energy, action vacuums that exist for you...
For me, it was instagram & facebook...
I had to eliminate the apps from my phone..
The daily highlight reels of others that was taking away from my own creativity and "action"...
Honestly.. think about it.. how much of your precious time are you spending looking at others?
For what???
Wasted time is wasted life...
It is so important to focus on running your own life...
Like renowned horse owner, Penny Chenary told Secretariat... the Greatest Horse of our era... "Run YOUR Race Red... Run YOUR Race..."
My only ask of you is this...
Whatever you do in life, sports, or business....RUN YOUR RACE..
Don't be a copy when you can be an original...
Your stress will drop. Your mind will settle. And.. most importantly you will be living in your truth. People don't always have to understand it... or you.. (chances are they will not).. but that is ok.. run your race anyway...
So drop your phones.. take out the ear buds.. and start living..
