Hey Team--

I had a great lunch yesterday with a good friend of mine, Adam Elberg who is the CEO of a tremendous physical therapy company, Professional PT.

Every year Adam and I connect for lunch, usually spending most of the time discussing the Yankees... and the remainder talking life and business..

As his company continues to build, helping and serving people as they overcome injuries, he shared with me some great advice on running a Company; not having a to-do list and delegating things to your A+ team...

Agreed! Love that.

But it got me thinking... especially when it comes to executives and leaders...

These guys and gals are so good at delegating... that many even try to do this with their health!


Hire this person. Hire that person. Therapists. Massage People. Nutritionists.. you name it... but the reality is.. now.. the work actually falls on them, the delegator!

When I Coach these Titans.. what I always need to remind them is that they are the CEO of their Life.

Nothing will work unless they do.

Want to lose weight?

Less dinner meetings with wine, heavy foods, and desserts...

Want to relax more?

Take the weekends off.. plan 3-4 week long vacations per year... and fill in the gaps with 3-day weekends and Fridays off during the summer.

Your health is one of those categories where you can not delegate...

You can hire a support team.. to SUPPORT you.. but you can not expect them to get the results for you... unless you do the work.

You. Doing. THE WORK.

As we all balance life, family, business, and everything in between... Adam I discussed the buzz term, work: life balance... 

Is it even possible? Should it be?

Not really.. if you love your job and love your work... that keeps your engine revving.. if you pick the right partner to support your work.. you win again... 

The key is planning the above mental retreats and vacations... and adding spice and variety into your life with dinners with friends and entertainment...  This is why athletes have off-seasons... train, recover, recharge...

My message for those who are the Type A winners out there... don't shy away from the work.. it will only stress you out more... just make sure you add the spice... 

SO as you are hoping, wishing, dreaming to get in shape.. your best bet is taking full accountability, setting up a plan that considers you lifestyle.. desires.. and one that will work for you.

That will set you up for success..

Now.. let's get busy taking action on ourselves!
