Have you ever wanted to do something, had your "vision," but were stuck in the mud when it came to taking action?

Does this mean your lazy? Does this mean your vision is no good?

Why do so many people get stuck in the mud when it comes time for the rubber to hit the road-- and at the end of that road could be everything they ever wanted or dreamed of?

It comes down to two things: Fear and Readiness.

In sports, we so often talk of the "ready position".. a position that symbolizes the athlete being truly ready for anything that comes at him or her on the field.. mentally or physically he or she, in those moments, can handle anything!

In life, our ready position is when we have our plan, we have our team, we are set-up appropriately, we have the vision, we have the will, we have the tenacity, and we are ready to take on, and endure anything.

There is only one emotion that can hijack all of this... and that is our own personal fear, which is our own personal doubt...

When we are in this phase, we are constantly reading and re-reading our plans. We are checking things over and over again as a time delay.. not as a matter of detail orientation. We sit with things longer than we should, we hire consultants to poke holes in things, we probably are finding ways to extend the "launch" date..

I write this not only as a writer, but as a participant in the process. When I was able to accomplish my greatest achievements, it was often times with minimal to no plan, but a vision of what I want to see myself doing and being.

A vision that I stayed focused on.. a vision that came with no words being written, but just vivid imagery of myself succeeding... and the emotional state being pre-felt... and within me before it happened...

Think about that job you always wanted... did you have a fully detailed plan written? Nope. Think about who you met as your life partner.. did you have this plan written? Nope. Think about that great business you opened.. did you have that plan written? Nope.

You see... our greatest accomplishments in life are not the results exclusively of a written plan.. but that of a scripted vision that we have for ourselves..

They are the results of a defined purpose and mission. They are the results of clarity... with a large amount of intuition mixed in. Then... there is luck. Luck is created when vision and intuition unite.. Our end result is that of what we desire.

Remember this.. nothing will turn out exactly as you want. There is no perfect or right moment. Just get ready and endure the friction and gravity you must overcome to get "Started"...

To be honest.. many people achieve greatness in this world not because they are great.. but they are strong enough, willed enough, and brave enough to take action. Action matters. Don't wait for things to be perfect.. because they never will. Jump into the water.. no matter how cold, how dark, and how fearful you are.. You may just achieve everything you ever wanted. #thinklikeapro.
