Happy Friday- another week heading to the finish line!

You know, there is a lot of talk about "Key Performance Indicators" today- but I choose to also focus on my "Key Performance Obstacles"...
What are the things that consistently get in my way?
Personally, this is what they are for me:
These are the big 3 for me.. let me explain....
Personally, I can be very hard on myself to do my best and when my results are not happening at the pace I want or expect, I get frustrated. That frustration then leads to doubt...
Doubt for me shows up as: Am I doing this right? Am I even supposed to be doing this? Am I missing something? What if this, what if that?
Ah- then there is my phone.
The time stealer.
I have found the phone at times to be my security blanket.
I have become somewhat addicted as I am waiting for the next important email or call to come through my phone, or, the next big deal to come through.
I even wait for the next problem that has to be solved to come from my phone..
Therefore, I am always ON and on high alert when it comes to the phone...
Lastly, there is looking at others...
This shows up as: How the hell is he doing that? He's not that smart. Or, I should be where that person is by now. Or, my ideas suck - look at the traction this person is getting and I am not.
Well, I am here to say that all of the above is nothing but bad habits and lies.
Bad habits of thinking and behaving- and lies that come from those bad habits and bad behavior.
As a matter of fact, it grosses me out that I still battle these things.
After all, I am the Coach!
Coaches don't deal with these things, right? Wrong.
I may have more tools and higher levels of awareness, but, I still have to deal with them and put STOPS in place to make sure they do not get in the way of performance and become obstacles.
It takes daily work for me.
I stay off social media for the most part...
I keep my phone downstairs at night...
I constantly self-coach and reaffirm to myself that I am where I am supposed to be...
These are my hacks...
These are my tricks...

We all have them- and they have a tremendous cost if they are not managed.
Spend some time with this today- you will be glad you did.
It will help you get back to baseline and feel much more in control emotionally as a result.
