Two weeks ago I did an awesome interview (posting tomorrow) with Robert Malandro, Managing Partner of the Whitecap Sports Group.
He spends his time helping investors buy and sell Professional Sports Teams!
Fun job!
Anyway, we talked about daily routines and habits, and he gave a real golden nugget as it related to him keeping momentum up and his productivity strong:
HOURLY GOALS.
Hourly goals?
Prior to my conversation, I had never heard of this before.
Obviously we have heard of quarterly, annual, or even stretch goals, but, hourly is a new concept.
I asked him the "why" behind the hourly goal and he said it was this simple:
TO KEEP THE BALL ROLLING...
There are times in life and business when we feel like we are slowing down, less productive, and just not feeling like we are getting anything done....
So, the hourly goal allows for a quick win....
And then wins start to stack on each other...
How do you set an hourly goal?
Simple.
Ask this one question: What is one thing I can get done in the next 30-minutes that has been in my head and jamming me up?
Sometimes, the goal of starting something is the actual goal!
Today is Monday.
Let's start with a quick win to get the week started...
In fact, what if every Monday you started with an immediate win?
Say a workout, or a walk, or a run, or anything that is a positive investment into your body, mind, and or spirit...
Give that a try.
Hourly goals.
Use them to start the process of momentum and winning!
This blog is an hourly goal for me...
I start my day with it...
And it sets up a day of winning and feeling good in the process....
