Hey Team!

Hope you had a great weekend!

Friday I had 3 wisdom teeth pulled..

I had an amazing surgeon...

Who was a true PRO...

Instantly made me feel comfortable by talking sports...

And based on his "Swag"... I knew he was going to be a rockstar...

(Which he was)....

Unfortunately, no matter how great he was... I was pretty much out of commission this weekend... and could not do any real exercise... including walking without feeling totally exhausted....

And that got me thinking about caloric intake... and a lesson I wanted to share and remind you of...

We all have days when we are MORE ACTIVE than others... right?

And, we also know that activity is powered by calories....

So on the days you move more, you can also EAT MORE.

On the days you move less, you MUST EAT LESS...

You see, caloric intake should be directly proportionate to activity level...

Many people forget this... eating the same quantity and calories no matter what their activity...

A simple TIP like this can help you lose "junk weight" pretty quickly...

What you will soon realize is, you do not need as many calories as you think...

And many people are eating hundreds of extra calories per day.. which eventually turn to fat...

REMINDER: 3500 Calories = 1lb of FAT

So, if you are consuming 300 extra calories per day.. (which is not a lot)... in just 10 days you can actually add 1lb. of fat if you are not performing enough activity!

I always tell my clients, before you put something in your mouth, you must understand the negative effects of caloric intake...

Many EXPERTS today tell you not to worry about calories and to stay more focused on "types" of food... but that is not correct...

It is understand food quality.... and calories alike...

So prior to eating something, do the following:

1. Understand how many calories it has approximately

2. Is it clean, non-processed food?

If you can keep your meals to 500 calories or less, that is a great start...

The only way to do this, is by eating CLEAN, nutritious, food..which typically is not calorie dense.

You must watch your dressings, oils, sauces, marinades, and preparation such as frying...that will add calories quickly... as opposed to steaming, broiling, crock-potting, and baking...

Another secret calorie depot is in your drinks... choose water or seltzer as your preferred drink choices.... even a little half and half in your coffee can add up each day...and lead to weight gain...

EVERYTHING MATTERS.

Doing this for a few weeks will help you change your habits... and then you will not have to think much about this... your choices will start to happen naturally and your identification system will become keen on good vs. bad choices....

So as you head into this week... start by making better choices!
