Hey Team-

Last night I spoke to a group of business professionals in Greenwich, CT...

Amazing group of hungry people who set out each day to Serve.

Community works. Helping others who are struggling. Improving the life of others...

And you know what... they are blessed in return...

All very successful individuals who are living out their life's mission through service to others.. and enjoying the reciprocal benefits of SERVICE.

I shared a couple of lessons with them... but there is one I really wanted to share with you...

Prior to yesterdays event, I was training at a gym near where I grew up on Long Island.. and ran into a beam of light, a breath of fresh air, aka one of the most inspirational people in my life...

He is 83 years old....

Has beat cancer 3 times...

Has 2 replaced knees and a replaced shoulder..

And.. has broken his neck in a mountain bike accident...

His name is Ron.. a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. 

After exchanging hugs.. he got on me... Are you training these days? Are you training hard? Are you making sure you are putting yourself first?

I happily answered Yes...

Then, I asked him, "How do you do it Ron? How did you get through all of these things that could of easily broken you? 

And at that moment, he pointed to his head and his heart....

He said, " You need a strong mind.. you need to train that mind every day through physical challenge... and most importantly.. you have to realize you have something, somebody, and/or a group of people to serve... and that always keeps you working towards something..."

He is not ready to shut it down...

Every morning he hits his rowing machine for 1 hour... Outside.. in the elements...

His philosophy on training is simple: Keep your ticker strong, your core tight and stable, stand up tall, and get those glutes as strong as possible"....

You see, his commitment to service is what keeps him going...

He made it (LIFE) about something other than himself...

But, he serves himself each day from a health and wellness standpoint so he can be that much more for others....

Amazing story.

It works in life.

It works in business.

It works in coaching.

In works in leadership.

I ask you today to find something bigger than yourself and serve that thing.

I also am asking you to train every day to keep yourself strong, fit, and full of energy so you can deliver your best to those people and thing...

Now... Let's GO!
