Hey Team- 

Ready for a great week?

I hope you enjoyed watching last nights Superbowl and much as I did.. and my reason was not because of the Halftime Show!

What I loved about it was the focus, the intensity, the rivalry, the refusal to lose by both teams... but most importantly.. I loved watching Tom Brady...

Now, most tend to root for the underdogs, as I do quite often...

But, if you really break it down.. isn't Tom Brady now an underdog?

41 years old...

The oldest player on the field...

Plenty of "hits" under his belt over the years...

And.. he is still out there...

I know many 41 year olds that have trouble putting their socks on in the morning... never mind playing at the highest level of sport...

So how does Tom Brady do it?

#1: Discipline

He is disciplined in that he knows exactly what his body and mind need to play well without faltering... Do you know what your body and mind need each day to feel great and perform great?

#2: His Health and Fitness are his Main Priorities...

He understands that his healthy body, which he achieves through diet and exercise is what allows him to go out and play each day....

His diet is 85% fruits and vegetables.. meaning, more than 2/3's of each plate he eats is fruits and/or vegetables.. High nutrients.. low calories...

#3: His Workouts are not just about Strength and Size...but Movement..

He is not just pumping weights... but most importantly stretching, strengthening with band resistance.. and working to improve his joint function, mobility, and muscle flexibility each day he trains..

That, along with aerobic and anaerobic (sprint based) cardiovascular exercise works his whole body....

#4: Pliability and Recovery...

After he eats like a pro.. and trains like one.. there is only one more step.. Recover..

He understands that body holds tension in the muscles.. if those muscles get tight.. so to the muscle tendons which connect to the bone.. and when that happens.. your risk for pain and injury go way up...

So, each day he focuses on keeping his tissue loose and pliable through massage, hot baths, heat therapy, manual stretching, and foam rolling..

You can do the same!

#5: Positive Outlook...

I have been speaking of this a lot lately.. but a refusal to quit, a demand for the best out of you and your daily habits is essential... and keeping your head in the most optimistic, offensive place is 100% critical to success in anything that you do...

Now.. I gave you the Secrets to the Success of Tom Brady...

Now.. it is time to find your own Secrets to Success for yourself... (I would suggest taking one or two of Toms- and putting your own twist on things)...

You have a Champion within you..
