Hi Team-

Happy Monday!

Listen, when Monday comes around, you must be ready.

It is THE day that sets the tone for the week.

Now, I am not saying you have to get up and do a dance for Monday- but I am saying you must be ready....

What does ready mean?

Well, it simply means this...

Come Friday, THIS is what I must get done.

Fill in the ______________ for the word THIS.

Got it?

Last week, when I was speaking with the awesome team at Arkay Packaging, I shared with them the greatest strategy of all....


When you always get in the mindset of "Defaulting to Action"- you spend very little time in idle.

You spend very little time contemplating.

You spend very little time strategizing.

A few weeks ago, I was speaking to a friend who is a consultant that builds workflows for businesses, he said, "Bring it to life by Friday".

What he meant by this was rather than think through the business in high levels of depth, think of whatever you want to do on the surface and think of the essentials that are the drivers of what it is you want to make happen.

How often do you spend weeks, months, and sometimes years thinking about something and you just never do it?

That is because you are not defaulting to action...

You are defaulting to thought....

Thought often leads to worry....

Most specifically worry as it relates to "how" you or your works will be perceived by others...

The truth is, bring it to life anyway....

Default to Action.

In those moments of question, ask this question: What can I take action on and do right now that brings my vision one step closer to having it to life by Friday?

When we think like this, we will naturally eliminate all the BS- and get right to the fundamentals.


Business/ Sales is an exchange of goods/ services for profit.

So, if you want to go into business, this is a good rule of thumb....

WHAT are your goods or services?...

WHAT makes your goods or services semi-unique to the marketplace?....

WHAT problem do you solve with your goods or services?....

WHO  needs this problem solved?....

HOW much are they willing to pay to solve with problem?....

WHY should they go with or trust you?....

WHERE will they purchase these goods or services?.....

This simple line of questioning will get you moving towards a result...and Defaulting to Action.

When you are able to look at these questions both from up close and afar, you will see they provide all of you framework to bringing something to life.

Always think simple over complex...

I always laugh when I coach most CEOs- they are really simple thinkers.

They actually rebel against complexity.

Yet, many mid-level managers sell themselves on depth of thought and complexity...

Listen, keep it simple.


This is a great reminder, again, to get your week going!
