Are you ready to WIN this week?
I know that I am- and am pumped about what is ahead....
Every Sunday night I check my schedule for the week- and I look methodically at each time slot, the name next to it, or, the activity within it.
And, over the years, I have built the schedule to match my needs, my best(S), and it includes a systematized approach that includes my coaching, my learning, my free time, and people that give me energy- aka, clients!
With that said, it did take many years to get this right because I was a time-giver..
Somebody that would always say YES, over-leverage myself because of all those YES', and in the end, I would be left exhausted and unaccomplished as it related to things I needed to get done for growth and forward movement of self, family, and business.
Can you relate?
To this day, I see so many that just give their time away because they do not know how to develop a schedule and systemized approach to objective achievement...
And, once you get them that plan, it is often so easy because it creates an auto-pilot execution strategy that it almost flips them out.
But, for today, I want to talk to you about two different states of mind/ attitude:
Ready vs. Need for Greater Skill Acquisition
How often have you said to yourself consciously or subconsciously: I AM NOT READY vs. I AM READY.
Most dialogue is built around not being ready (yet).
For most, they just can not ever seem to be ready.
Want to know why?
Ready is a myth.
Even surgeons who have not yet performed their first procedure are never truly ready.
They are competent, yes.
But, they are not truly ready because nobody is.....
This is because when we do something for the first time we are naturally our worst at it....
Each time we do it thereafter, the surgery, the concert, the flight, we get better and better if we have a desire for greater skill acquisition and SAT...Skill Acquisition Training.
So, if you are feeling "not-ready", do it anyway.
Do not look for perfect because you will never be perfect your first time anyway- yet many hold onto that desire of being perfect at a skill before actually doing it publicly.
That is a huge mistake.
You must prepare.
You must know what it is you do.
But, your skills will only get better if you train them everyday after you have taken your first action. Action is readiness.
Never underestimate the emotional cost to you not taking action on something you have been thinking about, dreaming about, contemplating about.
If you take action- you will then know if it is right for you BUT you will never figure out that answer in your head (never).
TODAY, I want you to ask yourself:
What have I been waiting to be ready for?
What is the first action I will take this week on this knowing I am only going to get better?
NEWSFLASH: Everybody is in this boat no matter how polished they may look or seem to you. Go back and watch old videos of some of the people you admire most- they were amateur compared to where they are now.
That is just how it works.
Wait no longer.
Bet on yourself damn it.
Stop waiting- it is not worth it and too damn costly.
