Hi Team...

So we meet again on another Friday....

The weather this week at the farm has been a bit cold & rainy- much different than the Florida sunshine!

But, all the animals are doing well.....

They are alive and well... that is all that matters!

I was doing a talk this week for Fitness Managers & Leaders of some of the biggest brands in fitness....

I had asked them this question: If I were to ask you to tell me 3-5 positive things you did today or that you have going on, could you do it?

Then I asked them this question: If I were to ask you to tell me 10 things that are not going well or that have gone wrong, could you do it?

Of course they could name 10 things that are going poorly- after all, they are high performing managers and leaders.

Seeking problems.

Identifying problems.

Solving problems.

That is what we do!

BUT, in this constant state, what happens is you train your brain and you body to feel like your problems and only seem negative ahead (AON- anticipation of negative)...

The dopamine hits are few and far between, and over time, you become a problem and become the problems you want to solve....

So, what do we do Coach?

On my kitchen table, I keep a notebook (sometimes on my desk too).....

This is my "Give Me 3" Hit Book....

I must write down at least 3-things that are going well.....

And, since I keep it around me all the time, if I am feeling not peak, yes, it happens to me too, I open the book, pick up the pen, and find even the smallest thing that is rocking, or that I did well....

We must be our biggest fans.

Must be.

We can not look outside for validation, approval, and a pat on the back -because most people will never give it to you even when you are a rockstar.

SO, we must give it to ourselves- daily.

Yes. Daily.

If we don't, it is too easy to slide the other way and start to believe there is no or minimal good happening.

We all have good happening.

And for those that know me- I am not a happy to lucky guy- definitely more of a realist, so, if I can do this exercise, so can you.

It works.

It is the one exercise I have found that can totally shift my mind in the right direction and that direction is to alway see opportunity and a clear path even if there is some rain and branches on that path....

I want this for you.

I need this to happen for you.

It is a game-changer.

It is a simple, analogue exercise that really works.

It is not a journal- but rather a book of bullet points.

3-5 BULLET POINTS.

You can do this.
