Yesterday, I spent an hour in the morning working with a great Canadian tech company- we talked about one word: Opportunity.
I told them: There is opportunity everywhere....
You just have to choose to see it.
I also told them that opportunity and negativity can not coexist....
So, the more negativity you have in your mind and in your life, the less opportunity you will have.
It will still be out there- you just will not be able to see it.
And, if you can not see it or feel it, then you will start to find yourself in a state of can't...
I can't do this because...
I am not able to because...
It is critical that you stay in a state of CAN.
I told the team yesterday: Optimism is a trained response and you must spend time training it daily....
How much time do you put aside for training optimism?
Earlier this week I sat down and chatted with Brian Scudamore- founder of 1-800-GOT-JUNK.
Each day he trains his optimism by focusing on what is right....
That is how he ends his day....
He writes down and thinks about all that went right....
By doing that- he believes he puts himself in a space of optimism and as a result is building momentum towards that next day....
Remember: Optimism is a trained response......AND...
Opportunity can never show itself in a state of negativity....
Take those two lessons today and apply...
If you want to grow, negativity has got to go!
