Hi Team...
Happy Friday!
I know that you are all fired up and excited about putting your mark on the first month of 2020... so if I was a betting man, I would say this past week was a good one...
For those in business, I hope you closed a few deals.
For those in coaching, I hope you impacted lives.
For those in service, I hope you gave your people all you have to give.
For those who are no longer working, well, I hope you have been working on your legacy.
Today though, I wanted to talk about the word: CREDIBILITY.
It sits alongside the word: RELIABLE.
Through it all.
They are there.
They always do what they say, their behavior is consistent, and they are just Ole' Faithful....
You know at least one person like that, right?
And, I am sure you know they are damn hard to find.
Why is that?
You MUST be fully committed to being available for others, even if it is before you at times.
That is what makes it so hard.
👉Keep your voicemail refreshed (it should never be full).
👉When somebody calls or texts, within 24hrs. or less, you MUST reach back (really it should be 2hrs. or less).
👉Ask others how they are feeling- and, truly listen to the answer, asking follow up questions.
👉If something is not a fit, or does not currently serve you, have the conversation instead of just ignoring communication attempts...
👉If you are an employer of anybody- full-time, part-time, 1099, pay them on time. Never let them ask, it takes away from your credibility. Be very upfront.
👉When you say you will have something done by a certain time, or you will make a call to somebody, or, you are supposed to make a date to meet with somebody: DO IT (and show up with enthusiasm) OR, don't say it- or commit to it.
👉See more in people than they see in themselves- then, figure out how to help them elevate themselves.
👉Ask your friends, family, co-workers, teammates what they need help with...
These are just a few simple ways to keep your Credibility and Reliability high.
It is also 100% a demonstration of the RESPECT you have for other people...
And, as I always say, if you don't RESPECT others, chances are, you really just don't respect yourself.
I will tell you this, everything matters.
Your approach matters.
It is all a demonstration of who you are and what you stand for.
That is how you build a winning life and legacy over time.
You must be looking for opportunities to help somebody on your team.. and put your stamp on somebody.
That is mentorship, that is Stewardship as my friend Mitchell of Arkay Packaging would say.
Dig in.
Let's GO!
Your Coach,
COACH DANA CAVALEA
