I hope you had a great week!
When I look back on each week, I always ask myself a question:
Did you make an impact?
That is my balance sheet and if the answer is yes, I am "cash-flow" positive..
If the answer is "no" well then I am going to have a busy Friday so that answer can be YES.
For each of us, we have to find that magic question that allows us to put our stamp of approval on the efforts we brought to our week..
The focus and commitment we brought to the achievement of our mission, vision, and goals....
While at the same time, always remembering that everything matters, especially the little things.
Making Your Bed (Little Thing).... BUT, How do you feel when it is not made?
Keeping Your Home/ Car/ Surroundings Clean (Little Things).. BUT... How do you feel when they are not done?
Calling/ Emailing People Back (Little Things)... BUT... How do you feel when the messages pile up?
Eating a Few Bad Meals, Missing a Few Workouts (Little Things over a 52 Week Year) BUT, Big Things Over a 7-Day Week...
You see, the little things become the big things....
BECAUSE, the little things can sit in our heads and hold us back...
"I have to get that done...."
"And, I have to get THAT done..."
All of those HAVE TO GET DONE's start to add up....
Now the real question becomes: Why are you not doing them?
And, I have found that comes down to a few short answers...
1. You are tired, fatigued, over-worked, and out of balance (aka not enough recovery)
2. You have taken on too many things that don't matter... (aka you are not focused)
3. You lack clarity.
That is it.
It is one of those three, or a combination of all three.
It is usually not a lack of discipline and accountability but rather you are just doing too much of everything, doing too much of some things, or not doing enough of anything!
So, today I want you to Clean Up Your Mess by getting clear on where you are wasting your time... wasting your focus... and doing too much.
Get clear on that...
When you do, you will arrive at a place that takes the stress and pressure off of you so you can experience the peace of Being In The Zone.
