Hi Team...

This AM I was reading a few chapters on a book titled: CONFIDENCE.

I am such a believer that confidence, real confidence along with instinctual intelligence are the characteristics and differentiators between those who make it happen and those who "watch" it happen.

One line in particular really grabbed me: Run with Me...Rookie

It grabbed me so much because of the reality of the line...

You know when you are young, new at something, or just not sure of yourself in a situation?

What would make you instantly feel better?

Somebody saying: Hey, no matter what, I got you.

Right?

It is amazing how many times I hear from Coaching Clients about that one person... in all of their years that took the time to say: You have greatness inside of you... or, some rendition of that.

Most of us hear that only a few times in our lives...

In the book, the story was about a young football player that was training on a hot summer day in Southern Ohio, was totally drained after losing 13lbs. of water weight.

The Coach blew the whistle for the team to line up to do their sprints...

The Rookie was not sure he could make it...

He wanted to quit...

Until...

A senior All-American came up to him and said: Run with Me, Rookie.

Well, I have a question for you...

Who is running with you?

Or, are you doing this life thing all on your own...

Or, this business thing all on your own...

Or, this coaching, leadership, management thing all on your own...

Last week I did an interview and was asked:

What is the biggest difference between Professionals and Amateurs?

My answer: Professionals are very coachable. They are open. They are interested in learning where they can get better. They love coaching.

It brought me back to my rookie season as a Coach with the Yankees.

Derek Jeter walked in to my training room and said, "D- What we got today?"...

Derek Jeter. The best of the best. Wanting to know what he has today. HA.

That is coach-ability.

That is somebody that not only doesn't do it alone.. but, what never think to.

With a great Coach in your life, anything is possible.

Remember, you too can be a great Coach for somebody...

All you have to do is find somebody that is running alone....

Just say to them, "Run with Me"...

That is really the foundation of leadership...

The essence of team...

Don't do IT alone...

IT is too hard.

Let's GO!

Your Coach,

COACH DANA CAVALEA
