Hi Team....

Hope you had an awesome Memorial Day!

Down in the South there has been a ton of rain...so today is good day!

The sun is out!

I wanted to share something with you...

On Saturday, I did a virtual summit with about 75 people and I spoke to them about overcoming their "PERFORMANCE GAP"...

A Performance Gap is simple the distance between where you are currently and where you want to be...

The Performance Gap can be applied to not only your career but also your health, your relationships, or, any set of skills you are looking to acquire that you do not currently have....

For example... 

If you are currently 220lbs. and are looking to get to 200lbs. you have a 20lb. Performance Gap....

If you are looking to close out the 3rd quarter with 5million in sales and you are at 4.5million you have a 500k Performance Gap....

We all have Performance Gaps...

Now, for magic question:

HOW DO WE CLOSE THE GAP?

Well, here is the best way....

Choose one gap at a time....

Realize it is your daily process that will close the gap.....

Along with what you are focused on....

You see, I believe you are either in one of two places at all times...

1. Contemplation....

2. ACTION...

Contemplation is where you are thinking, deciding, analyzing, assessing risk.....

ACTION is where you are doing the work.....

Now, after studying high performers for a long time, I realize there is one major difference between amateurs and pros...

The PROS take more action...

The AMATEURS live in a state of more contemplation.....

The amateurs are constantly analyzing, over-thinking, and focusing on their down sides....

The PROS are taking action and mitigating risk as they go through the obstacles which are bound to come.. most of which we can not plan for or account for...

SO, as you are moving through your high performance journey, focus on your GAP and remember, it is the right actions that will close the gap....

Do not spend so much time drawing out your strategy, analyzing, and talking to others that you forget the main thing..... taking action.

ACTION closes the gap.

ACTION is the #1 thing to take when you are feeling stressed, worried, or overly analytical...

ACTION is the biggest difference maker between those who achieve and those who "leave"...

Leave their dreams, goals, and ambitions aside in exchange for worry, stress, anxiousness, and a hyper-focus on "what if it doesn't work out".....

Now, go take ACTION and close your Performance Gap....
