They follow trends...norms... and make up the average....
They typically choose the conservative way rather than challenge the status quo...
They are just trying to "get through it" rather than change their world and world around them....
The word "renegade" and "outlier" scares them to death...
Conformity is much more comfortable...
But my friends, the game is won by the 10% that do not accept mediocrity...
The 10% has high expectations of themselves and the people they surround themselves with....
So, as you think about taking on a project, engaging in a new career, or becoming great at something...
Remember, you are not competing against everybody...
You are only competing against your own self-limiting and at times negative thoughts... as well as the 10% of people, or the 1% in your field that have decided being average is unacceptable...
Simplifying to this level shows you that you now have a much bigger chance at greatness than you may have thought...
Most people are afraid to even take a shot...
They are afraid to get in the game...
They may of had a failure once, hated the feeling, and never stepped back into the game....
They quit...
But that is not you...
You are players in the game...
Go out and win.
Be the 10% and win against the 1% and yourself...
