Hi Team- 

Since I have been spending more time at home, I have become increasingly aware of where I am spending my time. 

Now, I have to admit, I have spent more time on the couch after 7pm then ever before...

I have also spent more time working than every before in one place as I am usually traveling around the country speaking to teams and companies on how to optimize performance....

So, I have been grounded.

But, as a result, I have learned some tremendous lessons that I wanted to share today:

1. Don't mistake movement for progress..... not all movement is created equal.. you can find yourself busy doing a whole lot of nothing....

2. There is nothing better than a routine where you do the same things at the same time each day....

3. Nothing is better than a peanut butter and jelly sandwich...but, if you are looking to drop those stubborn 5-10lbs. you must have a salad each day for lunch.. it keeps you full!

4. People are a lot more open to connection that I originally thought- you just need to ask people to connect.

5. Too much time is often spent on the "what-if's" that will probably never happen....

6. Don't spend too much time thinking... just go for it (whatever it is)....

7. Life rewards those who do the RIGHT stuff with consistency...

8. An over-reliance on social media will leave you tired, frustrated, and with a large to-do list...

9. Have FUN again in all that you do... remember, work can be fun, but it is still work. Have a separation...

10. Life is what you make it. Choose wisely...

I personally learned a lot during this time....

About myself...

And, even the areas of life where I was falling for the lies I was telling myself like:

  • I don't have time...
  • I really am working out hard...
  • My diet is really consistent...
  • I am 100% focused on the things that matter....

Clearly lies since my results now are REAL....

  • Weight has dropped significantly....
  • Strength is up....
  • I have done so much more reading...
  • So much more writing....
  • Launched my new video show, The Becoming a Champion Show with amazing guests...

But what about before quarantine?

Well, these were all the things I was going to get to....and the things I was dancing around.. but never went from interested to committed.....

I am sure you can relate...

I am going to do that.....

I have to do that...

And, what happens?

Time passes... yet, you don't do IT in it's entirety!

Now, was I doing nothing?

No way....

I just was doing too many things that were not moving the needle the way I needed to move it....

If you have some time today, which I know yo do, ask yourself this question:

Where am I wasting time?

Followed by the question....

What areas of my life do I need to be better?

Followed by this last question...

What am I going to DO to get the results I want?

Simple questions that will give you big answers...

Once you get them... take action on them!!!!
