Hi Team...
For those that are familiar with Major League Baseball- you know it is a long season.
162 games....
+ 30 game in spring training...
+ The potential for 19 more games in the playoffs..
Now, here is the other thing...
The day starts at 1pm and often can end around 11pm during non-travel games..
On nights we travel, well, you could see a 2am-4am arrival time..
That makes for a long day, a long season, and a tiring 9 months....
You can either go 9-months and have a child, or, you can complete baseball season...
Now, in order to be great- you must do the same things day in and day out with high levels of consistency and enthusiasm...
That is what makes the sport so great- the challenge, but, at the same time it is what makes the great players so great..
They had an uncanny ability to do the same things, day in and day out with consistency and enthusiasm without getting bored, or making excuses.
Now, as we fast forward and take a look at most people, especially the work-from-home crew, what we are seeing now is high levels of fatigue and boredom...
Tremendous work ethic was show early in the work-from-home revolution, but now, I am coaching many that are looking for change..
Looking to get back in the office..
Looking to socialize and interact differently..
Looking for some spice..
This is because many are suffering from what I call "habit fatigue"- which is simply a point in which your positive habits are no longer positive because you have lost interest, clarity, and the purpose of those habits.
Many are so used to variety and change that they have reached the end of the road on certain habits and as a result, are feeling like they are forcing things..
Never force.
Realize.
Realize that if you are in this state, it is time to change.
Similar to the group that is going through my Champions-30 right now- they were tired of eating how they were eating, not seeing the improvements they wanted in their weight, body, and health and were ready for change.
So what did we do?
We revamped a good 80-90% of what they were doing and how they were doing it.
As a result- they are getting results..
Some are seeing early physical changes- others are changing how they think about and view food, while others are feeling great connection working towards something and being a part of something...
If you are experiencing habit fatigue- you must make a change ASAP.
It will not get better, you have to get better by making key changes...
Change your environment, schedule- make more time for connections other than your usual ones..
Get around people who inspire you...
In the coming weeks I am going to be launching something that can help with this so be on the look-out!
