Hey Team!
I am writing you from my favorite coffee shop in the US, Buddy Brew in Tampa, FL!
Buddy Brew was my headquarters during my Yankee years..
The place I would hold all my staff meetings, design all my programs for the greats like Jeter, Pettitte, Posada, Arod...
But most importantly.. a place where I could be relaxed and get work done...
Today is no different...
My lesson of the day is, "Sometimes you have to go back to go forward"...
After spending the morning working out and training at my Alma Mater, The University of South Florida, I had a chance to really think about my progression from then until now...
I also had a chance to think about what my headspace was at that time...
My discovery: A UNINHIBITED, CAN-DO ATTITUDE...
And by CAN-DO, I mean "can-do everything".. at least I thought I could...
But, in my opinion, it is that level of Naiveté that opens many doors...
That true lack of fear that allows you take the bull by the horns, face rejection and opportunity head-on, and make it happen.
We can all go back to times in our life when we felt physically and mentally unstoppable...
Capture that feeling..
Go back to that place if you can...
Go back to that time if you can...
Unplug when you get there and take it in...
That clear and open mind is the space you need to be in to get your mojo going...
If you are in that place now.. Great!
Keep running...
For those that are not.. when you arrive at "that place"...
Open your mind.. and be grateful for that place, space, and time in your life...
That was freedom...
And you can have it today as well..
That power is in your hands to create the opportunities you want, take the risks, and reignite your internal fire...
That is the key to performing optimally and thriving... and in the end, becoming a True Champion in Life....
I hope you carve out the time to get back to your roots.. ground zero... and build or rebuild yourself physically, mentally, career-wise.. and from a relationship standpoint...
Define your life... then create it.
Ok.. gotta go!
