💰 Doing Business.. THE RIGHT WAY.

Hi Team...

I am back!

Yesterday I took a day off from writing because I was doing a Kick-Off Talk for an amazing company, Central Turf & Irrigation in Westchester County, New York!

The theme of the talk was: The Champion In You!

Fitting because I always say, "I am in the business of building Champion people and Champion teams!"

And yesterday, WE did just that.

MY ROUTINE:

Whenever I speak, I start my day with a workout, then I rework, rehearse, and sequence my slides....

This is followed by a shower, 10-minutes of floor breathing, a pep talk to myself, and a big ask....

I ask (the higher power) to give me energy, enthusiasm, unlimited passion, and the ability to touch at least one person in the room- to help Unleash Their Inner Champion...

What made me feel great was the night before, Bill, a senior sales person came up to me and said, "Coach, I had an amazing year. I took your advice at our Eagles Sales meeting and went after it this year."

He went on to tell me he has not sandbagging and giving up on the rest of 2020 because he already hit his goals- he is going to make this his best year yet.

Going after bonus...

Going after the win...

Going after his Championship...

That is my favorite part about coaching... watching people go out and win...

Watching the Companies I work with have amazing years...

Central is run by the Luciano Family- a family that believes heavily in training, coaching, development, and the support of their people ...

They run a large Company- but they run it as a family...

The Company has a warmth... a truly grounded sense to it...

And as a result, all that work for the Company feel comfortable and want to be great for not only themselves, but for the Company and the Lucianos...

One of the exercises I did with the team was having each person grab the Champions Baton ( a gold baton that gives unlimited power to he/she who holds it).. walk up the front of the room and let the group (team) know what they are going to do in 2021...

A very empowering exercise- but the words that these men spoke were so powerful...

All wanted to help the Company...

All wanted to hit double digit growth...

All wanted to be available for their teammates...

That is demonstrative of the culture of this Company and a culture that so many would love to have in their Company..

Could you imagine having a workforce that is that passionate?

Well- this happens when you DO BUSINESS THE RIGHT WAY...

The right way is simple: 

• Invest in your people...
• Humanize your business and the relationship you have with your people
• Keep them motivated...
• Show them how they can grow when the Company grows...
• Always have an open door to help them solve their problems..
• Let them know you are always there for them...no matter what.

Do you know what happens when you run your Company or team this way?

• You do really well...
• You become the type of Company/Team that attracts talent...
• You  become the industry standard on how to do it the right way..
• You become a winner.

Everybody wants to be part of a winner- and for the few that do not because they can not keep up, or are just too negative- well they will exit themselves...

So, today, I encourage you to do business The Central Way, The Right Way!

That is what I want from you...

I want you to win big.. whether you run a big company, small company, big team, small team, or you are on your own...

Take the principles above and make them work for you!

You can do this...

We have 50 days left to dominate this year- go do it!
