If you want to be a high achiever, you must have the daily habits that many of them possess.

Having spent my entire career working with the Greats of Sports & Business, you can see some hardcore similarities between the two groups.

1. They are extremely consistent in everything they do...

2. They are "planned" and "calculated" in everything they do...

3. They are extremely objective focused..

4. Excuses do not exist...

5. They train at least 3 days per week to optimized their energy..

** The wildcard.. they love spending their weekends at home, or on a short trip working at their own pace to recover their mind, body, and spirit..

And also.. they use this weekly recovery time to plan and prepare for what is ahead..

I have spent most of my youth hard-charging, running here, running there... filling every waking hour and "down" hour with something "to-do".. bad approach..

I learned this did not work when it felt like I was bit by an ENERGY VAMPIRE every weekday morning..

What did I do?

I realized if I took a break on the weekends... No clients, no sessions, no work.. I would feel great the next week.. meaning I would have more to give...

I was a bit scared at first because I felt I was falling behind.. but I learned very quickly how to enjoy this sacred time off..

What I learned though was... I took myself so deep into the wrong end of the pool.. for so long.. that it would take me more than just one weekend to get right..

Years of "wrecking" myself with constant work, no fresh creativity, high stress.. that I needed to commit..

So when I started to breakdown the habits of all my high performers.. I realized quickly if I kept up my games and antics.. I would not be a member of this ELITE CLUB..

I can honestly say.. after a few QUARTERS of doing this.. I am BACK..

Refreshed, relaxed, more focused, and feeling healthier..

I will leave you with this..

Last week I was speaking with a friend of mine named Ralph..  In his 50's, from Germany, former Chef, now a Trainer at an Elite Country Club in Greenwich, CT..

He told me about his journey working 6am- 11pm.. Killing himself.. the money was green.. but his life was "blue"...

What he said was striking, "YOU HAVE TO BE SELFISH IF YOU WANT TO BE SELFLESS..."

The lesson here is simple.. put on your own Oxygen Mask before you worry about every body else..

If you do.. you will have so much more to GIVE, BE, AND BECOME..

Take the first step!
