Hi Team....

Well, it is the Monday before Christmas!

Which means, for many, this will be a nice, relaxed week.

For others, they will be scurrying to get some last minute gifts or trying to close some last minute deals... or, working to achieve those goals they set back in December 2019....

Either way, we are all here: TOGETHER.

With that, I really had to put the pedal to the metal last week putting the final touches on my new kids book, BRYANT "FOR THE WIN", which just hit Amazon!

It is a tribute book to the late, great, Kobe Bryant... but ultimately a book designed and written to teach kids (and adults) greater confidence....

Confidence.

What is it?

The state of being confident, or, better yet, believing in yourself (even when others do not)...

As a Coach, I firmly believe that one of the most important character traits one could have is confidence...

You must have it.

You can not perform AUTHENTICALLY without it...

Some think they can.. but really they can not.

Living without confidence is like showing up to a baseball game, to play, and suddenly realizing you did not bring your glove and you are the starting shortstop..

Living without confidence is seeing an opportunity and immediately dismissing it because of your internal "readiness and preparedness"....

Living without confidence is going for a job interview and coming up with all the reasons WHY you won't get it on your way to the interview...

Living without confidence is thinking somebody else, their life, their story, is better than yours- and is the reason why they are successful and you are not.

THESE ARE ALL LIES.

Whether you have confidence or not depends 100% on your story.

The story you tell yourself everyday.

The story of I-CAN.

Or, the story of I-CAN-NOT.

What record plays in your head?

I-CAN?

or,

I-CAN-NOT?

  • Study your language.
  • Listen to the words that come out of your mouth...
  • Break down your tone...
  • Your sentences...
  • Your overall language..
What is coming out?

CAN OR CAN-NOT?

Only you know.

And when you make the discovery that there is a lot more CAN-NOT than CAN- you will understand your performance gap of lacking confidence....

Rebuilding confidence is simple: CHANGE THE STORY YOU TELL YOURSELF.

Just like changing a radio station- or, for the old folks, like advancing a cd or a record.

You do this by changing your language, word-usage, tone, and vision...

More to come on this... but this is the basic steps to changing your life...

Because he/she who has great confidence lives a FULL LIFE.

Let's GO!

Your Coach,

COACH DANA CAVALEA
