Hi Team!

I have a question for you...

Do you put a lot of pressure on yourself?

You are always pushing the envelope, going hard, on the move (mentally and physically), always working to put things in their place, and working your goal sheet...

Sound familiar?

I tell you what, so many high performers are like this...

A few days ago, I sat down with Ben Sherwood, the former President of The Walt Disney Corporation...

He talked about the noise in his head....

The constantly running dialogue....

And, he mentioned that it may be better to learn to live "out-of-balance" rather than high performers seeking what seems impossible to ever find, "balance."

I would have to agree...

Having studied high performers for years, balance is not possible.

Hear me out...

We can learn to unplug- but to live in boxes, giving adequate time to all simply is not a reality....

So, what do we do Coach?

Well, we learn to live in a healthy way out of balance...

Out of balance means realizing there are times to go, run, build, and grind...

And, there are times for recovery... (Each day)...

And, times to think...

And, there must be time for relationship building with those we care about...

Or else, we will find ourselves in total isolation and it will just be us and our project(s) and goal(s).

That is lonely.

When we can look at our life as a series of events- we can understand things better.

We can understand that anything new takes more energy to get going... (business, marriage, new dog, new child)....

But, over time, we get used to the new routine and space is created for what is next.....

While all of this is happening though, we have a choice...

1. Fall to the pressure of all of this.... OR

2. Fall in love with the PASSION  that can take all of this to the next level...

Pressure and passion can not live together...

They are inversely related..

High Pressure = Low Passion...

High Passion = Low Pressure...

You must keep this relationship in sync...

And, when you do, you will thrive...

Nobody did anything great with high pressure and low passion...

And, the great part is, pressure is self-induce.. always..

So, if you feel pressure, you created it!

If you are feeling pressure taking you over, thank yourself!

As a result, you are the only one that can get rid of it by reminding yourself of the exciting things ahead....

By focusing on the excitement of the moment...

The next challenge...

The next opportunity...

The next goal...

By doing this, you keep passion running high..

DO this daily!

Activate your mind each morning by reminding yourself what you have in front of you... and, what you have accomplished already!

That reminder can fuel your soul..

On my desk, I keep a notebook where I track only my daily victories!

All positive. All wins. Great to review.

A gift to ones self-esteem!

Now, go out and win today!

Activate yourself!

Today... AND The Future are yours for the taking...

High Passion, Low Pressure.
