Well, we have some snow here at the farm today.
Hopefully this is the last one!
Ready for some sunshine!
Anyway, I wanted to share something with you today....
Every person I coach feels like they have another gear....
It is my job to help them get there.... this is where we start.
Most of the calls I field start with: "Coach, I know I can do more.. I know I can achieve more... I know that I have more potential that I want to maximize."
To which I ask, "Why do you feel that you have not achieved it yet?"
Most are not expecting this question back...
But without knowing their answer, I know their answer.
You see, most want to "self-actualize"- or reach their highest potential.
Yet, one can not do so until their most basic of needs are taken care of.
Maslow does a great job of illustrating this in his pyramid.
The truth is, you can not self-actualize, actually self-actualize if there are parts of your game that are held together with duct tape and crazy glue...
You see, today, everyone wants to be great, or to self-actualize but you can not skip the steps.
Not if you want to get to the top of the mountain and know you belong there.
You can skip the steps, get to the top of the mountain and question why you are there every day... but that is no way to live.
SO, if you desire greatness, it starts one step at a time.
It starts with clarity followed by action.
It start with you making a decision that no level is more important that the next... each must be tended to accordingly and the holes, gaps, and misalignments must be handled within yourself before you can truly "scale" to your highest potential.
Go out and win today.
