Hey Team-
As many of you know, I have my book, Habits of a Champion coming out next month...
Writing was tough... but the editing has been grueling...
Spending over 8 hours yesterday at my desk making sure everything is structured, formatted, and aligned the way I want... so all that read can take their game to Champion status!
So how does a type A, self diagnosed attention deficit disorder person get themselves to sit at a computer that long?
Simple.
Habits and routines. I trained for it. How you ask?
I made a deal with myself on Sunday night. I told myself, from now on, since I will be spending extra time at the computer working during the day, rather than being on-field, I will need to train hard every morning.
Conditioning. Foam Rolling for my soft tissue work. Core. Weight Training. Stretching. Positive Self-Talk and Coaching.
All catalyzed by an ice coffee from a new place I found here in Connecticut, Donut Delight.
What is amazing, is that when you get up and train from 6am-7:15am, by 8am you feel very accomplished. Workout complete. Caffeine working. Fed. Showered. Ready to go. 8:15am at the computer ready to work.
Full day by 8am... putting myself first. I always get the first position since I need the more energy so I have more to give...
I encourage you to do the same...
Start your day with a plan and an action strategy...
Hit the ground running... or walking.. or crawling... whatever you have to do... but make sure it is planned and structured... a strong morning routine to get you going...
The feeling of accomplishment is second to none. It sets the tone for the day...
It is a winning formula. A Champion minded formula... give it a try!
