Hey Team!

I am back... wow!

What a trip... 

This past weekend I had to speak in Pittsburgh to a group of baseball and softball coaches...

Rather than fly, I decided I would take a little "road trip"...

Which took a lot longer than I expected!!

Now, when you are on the road for 8 hours....

Away from home for 4-days.....

Something crazy happens.....

Ready?

You eat Good, Bad Food.

What the hell is Good, Bad Food Coach?

Let me tell you....

Good, Bad Food = Food that looks good, sounds good, and is considered healthy, BUT, the ingredients used at the restaurant and in the food prep are BAD!

Example: A salad with grilled chicken... Good right? Sometimes... but not when the chicken in marinated in high sodium marinades and the dressing, even on the side, is loaded with calories and made with junk oils and fillers....

You see... the same is true for grilled chicken and a side of vegetables...

Why? Marinades, oils, butters, and salts....

So, how do you know if you have been a victim of Good, Bad Food?

Easy...

You feel:

  • Swollen...
  • Your rings are fitting tight...
  • You feel sluggish...
  • You feel bloated...
  • You feel like you are "not really alert"...
  • You feel like you are "heavy"..
  • Your lips feel dry..
  • Your mouth feels parched..
  • and you feel like the Michelin man!

Have you had these feelings?

Well.. if you have.... realize this... that is your body dealing with acute inflammation.. and your body trying to get rid of all the toxic ingredients you just fed it.... aka an allergic reaction to the food you just at and the negative ingredients you just ingested....

Last week I read a great quote from a friend: How much you eat affects your weight... What you eat affects how you feel....

Simple genius...

Think about it...

I will go over some "flushing" techniques in a blog later this week!
