Hey Team!

Hope you guys are having a great week!

I wanted to write this before I head out to Pittsburgh to speak to some hungry for knowledge Baseball & Softball Coaches this weekend....

And.. after speaking with one of my clients, Jim, a few days ago...

I wanted to speak about our "two selves" that all of us tend to have.. (until we realize one is no longer serving us)...

What do I mean...

Well... 

Have you ever felt like throughout the day you are just switching masks all day long?

When you are home you are wearing one mask...

You go to work... another mask....

At a networking event or conference... a different mask....

Negotiating... another mask...

You get the point?

Well.. changing your mask to match the situation you are in is exhausting...

Totally exhausting!

And.. the biggest issue with this way of being/ living is that you are denying the showcasing of your TRUE AUTHENTIC SELF...

And.. if you keep trying on masks all day.. over time, you can forget who YOU really are...

So, rather than keep trying on masks... I am asking you to double-down on who you really are...

That comes down to trust...

It comes down to you having immense levels of self-confidence, conviction, self-belief, and a true commitment to who you really are and being PROUD to showcase that conviction and self-belief in all you do...

Many talk of Imposter Syndrome today... being somebody you are not... and although at times we believe the masks make us "stronger" and to appear "stronger" in certain situations... ultimately it weakens you...

That constant battle between true self and inauthentic self will compromise and hijack your energy and start to make you question who you really are... and what you really stand for...

I 100% recommend you to stay within yourself... slow yourself down enough to ask the question in the moment: Am I being my authentic self?

Make sure you are answering YES.

You will be happy over time that you chose You over the inauthentic you...
