Hey Team!

Off to a great start today..

Workout complete.

Coffee Poured.

Time to get to work!

I have been doing some thinking over the past few weeks that I wanted to share with you...

Not to get all touchy feely here... but I was thinking about feelings...(but not the feelings you think)

And WHY we feel the way we feel... and why that feeling can vary day to day...

This "research" was all based on the the thought:

HOW CAN WE FEEL GREAT EVERYDAY... & WHY DON'T WE?

Since we all know how we feel will often dictate how we perform, this is an important topic...

So.. here is what I came up with...

THE GAP.

Not the store.. but the GAP between what and where you envision you should be vs. where you are...

THE GAP is the issue.

Well, not really..

YOU are the actual issue...(accountability)

YOU and your self imposed timelines, plans, goals, and the unfair expectations...

I get it... I had and still fall to this problem too...

But THE GAP will really wreak havoc on your life...

Never feeling fulfilled, always defeated in your subconscious because you have not "made it" according to your standard...

So how do we cure this?

1. Remind Yourself of What YOU Already Accomplished

2. Celebrate Your WINS (big and small)

3. Write down each day all the things you did well...

4. Focus on the present... how?  When you have a thought of the "future".. remind yourself that only what you DO in the present can make that happen.. so thinking about it is  taking away from the present... (you can have a vision, but you can't live there 24-7.. OR you won't be doing the work necessary to achieve it!)

5. Study your Self-Talk... (your self talk can not be self defeating; catch yourself at different times of the day by taking a deep breath, and study what you are telling yourself... if it is negative, switch to the positive... )

Living in the GAP is dangerous because it will only yield negative outcomes... because THE GAP reinforces failing, not winning. You will totally overlook all your successes... the small ones that lead to big ones... since you are so focused on what you have not done, or can not do.

Loser Talk is what the CEO of Under Armour, Kevin Plank calls it.

So if you want to start thriving... understand that you only have so much control on your "pace" of achievement... small wins everyday will lead to putting runs on the board... so embrace the process...

Chip away.

Day after day.. hit the singles...

The points will add up over time....
