Hey Team...

Happy Friday!

I was recording a podcast yesterday for a Sales Organization... and the host was telling me how down his people get on themselves when they don't hit their numbers or close a sale....

Can you relate?

Do you get down on yourself?

He asked me if Professional Athletes get down on themselves?
and, he wanted to know how long they stay there?..

I told him that is the difference between ELITE Performers and everybody else....

They do get down, but it is for a moment, not a lifetime...

He wanted to know how they do that... and don't crack?

Simple- it comes down to the way they understand themselves, their self-awareness, and the fact that they understand the rules of the game...

To think you are not going to fail (at anything) is CRAZY.

To think that you are Perfect, can every be Perfect, or to even expect Perfect from yourself or anybody else is also CRAZY.

Instead, practice "listening to yourself"....

Listen to what you tell yourself when you do face a failure moment... 

Listen to what you tell yourself when you are in, or are approaching a crisis or bad news...

Listen to what you tell yourself when you are scared....

And then, REVERSE IT.

Reverse what you are telling yourself.

Acknowledge the feeling, then, realize it is just a feeling and that feeling is produced by your thoughts...

Positive Thoughts = Positive Feelings.

Negative Thoughts = Negative Feelings.

You can change outcome, energy, and mood by simply REVERSING your inner conversation.

Look, I have had really private moments and conversations with some household names in Pro Sports & Top CEOs....

They have fear.

They get scared.

They lose their confidence (briefly).

But, they never quit on themselves.

They know losses are going to happen.

But, they also know that does not make them a loser.

They are WINNERS.

And, are YOU.

So, reverse the negatives and let's get going...

It takes practice, but so does everything if you want to get good and change a habit.

You got this!
