Hey Team...
Friday....
Here we are again.... another week down, another day closer to 2020.
That is great... but, ultimately, how do you feel today?
Do you feel good about all that you have done?
Do you feel like you gave everything your best effort?
What is that "thing" that just keeps on lingering for you?
You know that you have to get it done...
You should get it done...
But, it is not done.....
If you can relate, it is common.
For me, it is the final edits on my new book, Habits of a Champion Team....
I have not done it yet..
Why?
Well, for me, I gave myself till December 31st... so, that gives me a little time :)....
And, that is also the problem.
Too much time...
Too much runway can get us in trouble.
We know we have it, so that kills the urgency. The priority.
So rather than drag it out, get it done so come the end of December, you are FREE.
Nothing hanging over you.
Nothing holding you back.
I have noticed a theme amongst many that I Coach over the past few weeks...
Feeling the pressure....
Not having TIME.
Not being able to make the calls because of "busy"....
Here is the thing though...
YOU HAVE TIME.
I HAVE TIME.
WE ALL HAVE TIME.
So, let's cut the crap and just acknowledge we make time for what we want to make time for....
We do the things that we want to do....
If there was a 10,000 incentive to make the call, edit the book, do the exercise, have the meeting, attend the event...
MOST of us would be there without question...
The only question is cash or check?...
Don't let time be what stops you... it is not time... It is never time.
IT IS YOU.
IT IS US.
We are the #1 root issue of WHY we do not get things done....
Our brain has an ability unlike any other to categorize and prioritize by need.
The brain is primal.
It does what it has to do for your survival.
Getting certain things done just is not the topical priority...
That is why as deadlines arrive- you find yourself getting in gear...
Because, if you miss the deadline, your safety, your health, your security may be in jeopardy...
Right?
It is amazing how much we can get done in a cram session right before a deadline...
BUT ultimately, your execution is determined by your level of priority and what the completion of something means to your total, whole self...
So, let's take on what it is we have to take on and get done today, this weekend, and next week... SO, come holiday events, we can just relax and glide into the New Year with a great, healthy, recovered, perspective and plan!
Let's GO!
