Hey Team...

So, we are heading down to the final 2 weeks of the year...

Blah. Blah. Blah.

I know that is what you are thinking... WE KNOW COACH!

We know!

What is your point....

Well, Sunday I spoke at a Baseball Conference in New Jersey with a member of the Boston Red Sox Coaching Staff (you see, Yankees and Red Sox can get along!)...

His name is Darren Fenster....

What I LOVED about Darren's talk was his focus on Finishing What You Started...

He was taught this by Legendary, Rutgers Baseball Coach and Hall of Famer, Fred Hill.

YOU GOTTA PLAY ALL 9-INNINGS...

Yup.

You have to show up and play them all if you are going to win.

How many people do you know ... RIGHT NOW.. that are already shut down for 2019 and the holiday?

It is fine if you hit all your objectives, your team hit all their objectives, and your Organization/Company hit all their objectives...

But, often this is not the case.

And, if it is not the case for you or your team, you gotta keep going and PLAY ALL 9.

Baseball is a game that is 9-innings.

You can score a lot of runs in the first or second inning... but then you gotta hold the other team.. play great defense.. and compete to the end to win...

The same is true in life and business....

You can't score early and then think you are set....

You gotta play the whole game...

What does playing the whole game actually mean though?

How do you play all 9-innings?

Well, as Darren shared... you gotta do the following:

⚾️Think.

⚾️Compete.

⚾️Hustle.

⚾️Execute.

If you do not do those 4-things.. till the end of the game.. you can only win with luck.

This is what I love about sports culture...

It is blunt, real, and does not sugar coat things....

What if more Companies ran like that?

Sales Teams?

C-Suites?

I think the results would be amazing...

So, before you let the year set sail...

Ask yourself: DID I PLAY ALL 9-INNINGS?

Let's GO!
