Hi Team...

Do you ever have times where you feel like all you are doing is running?

Running here.

Running there.

Getting this done.

Getting that done.

Then- you look up and realize the day, the week, the month has gone by and you sorta missed it?

Been there!

And- I am sure many of you have been there as well...

Here is the thing...

It is ok if you are working at a pace that is good for you...

You see, life is a series of sprints, followed by jogs, and then by walks.. and then by some points of rest...

If you are sprinting all the time, you are going to burnout.

If you are jogging all the time, you may get an overuse injury.

If you are walking all the time, you will get to where you want to go.. but you will get to your destination slowly...

If you are resting all the time.. well, you will never achieve your goal!

So, the balance that everybody talks about is really just balancing sprinting, running, walking, and resting....

When you get that ratio right, you win.

I remind you that you control the pace of the game...

You control the pace of play...

Which means, you decide when you sprint, run, walk, or rest...

Make sure you make the right choice!

Too often we are defaulting to the speed of the game others are playing...

This pushes our pace...

And other times, we are so shot from chasing others- we need rest.

This slows our pace.

Those who really get the above are able to know that they need to play their game...

They control the clock...

They control the workload...

They control the water coming from the hose...

For some, the hose is flooding them out....

Control the flow- always.

When you do, you will feel in control rather than in a reactive state.

It is the state of reactivity that is the root cause for failure, for anxiety, for burnout, and for a lower self-esteem.

Play your game.

We all play at a different pace- embrace yours.

Your journey to the top will not look like that of anybody else.

No two people, teams, or companies pace the same.....

Embrace it.

That is what shows true discipline to a process- the ability to trust self and trust the process....

That is what I want from you today...

Trust the process....

Brick by brick- day by day- build your life.
