Hey Team....
Happy Friday!
I always use Friday as a day to "wrap" up the week and all the objectives I set on Monday... this way I can go into the weekend FREE & CLEAR!
For our final lesson this week, I wanted to write to you about VALIDATION.
You see, this has been a recurring theme for both my male and female clients...
Validation.
Where do you get it from?
Are you looking outside for it?
Or, are you validating yourself with frequency?
Where we get this validation from though is the most important part....
In a time of personal goals, individual successes and a focus on achieving "influencer" status.. looking outside for validation can keep you waiting for a very long time...
Ultimately leading to you becoming down and potentially very resentful towards others...
Remember when your parent, teacher or coach told you you were doing amazing?
Didn't that feel good?
Of course it did!
That is the validation I am talking about.
And even if they did... when was the last time you actually believed them?
If you are like most, it has been a while.
That is actually what is driving the social media obsession for many... looking for LIKES as validation, comparing story lines to others to validate their personal path, or on another front, many are pursuing higher levels of education as a way of validating their worthiness or how qualified they are vs. another person.
This is all real.
If you are wanting to feel totally "filled up" though- this is not the best approach.
You may feel like you are failing, doing something wrong, not doing your job correctly.
All because you are looking outside for validation.
Look inside yourself. Speak to yourself in positive tones. With positive words. With sayings and affirmations that validate you whenever you need it.
Never look outside. It is too risky.
Now, you may work in an environment that has plenty of positive validation going on- and that is great- but it is not the norm....
As I said though, do not wait for that change to happen if you are currently employed in a place that does not have this type of Leader.
It is hard at first... but, over time, the more you practice the better you get.
And, the better you get, the more natural giving validation will become as well!
Be the motivator to all that you get to be around....
Inspire people....
Encourage people...
But alway start with yourself...
Then keep on giving.
Let's GO!

COACH DANA CAVALEA
