Hey Team!

Hope you had a great weekend!

For those who are in the Northeast... we were really "bracing" for impact on a storm that never really came!

Come on.. challenge us! Haha.. jk.. winter is challenging enough!

But.. in a just a few weeks.. there will be early signs of Spring!

Spring Training!

The first inclination that winter is winding down... and better days are ahead...

Spring Training is my favorite time of year...

Nothing better than watching the boys come back after a short but long winter.. and start throwing the old ball around...

This weekend, I had a the chance to talk to a bunch of young ballplayers.. and a few that were already drafted... and a a few that are getting ready to play in the Majors....

And what I love about this group is how open they are to learning.. to getting better.. to finding that performance edge that can help make their dreams come true!

Dreams.

One of my favorite words... because for some reason.. many forget they are allowed to have one!

You know.. the type of people that are dreamers as kids.. and then "reality" hits.. aka their real job.. and then they lose their lust, their passion, their excitement for what they longed for... and always wanted!

Stop it!

Let's go...

Time to go back into dream mode...

And as we head back there.. I want to share with you a lesson I shared with the fellas this weekend: You get what you focus on.... so stay above the horizon line...

What?

The Horizon Line?

Yup.. it is an analogy I shared with them..

Think of a white piece of paper with a line horizontally placed across the middle of the paper....

Above the line is your dreams, your positive thoughts, your confident attitude, your positive, unbreakable self image....

Below the line is your pessimistic, negative self image, bad thoughts, thoughts of failure, thoughts of worry, thoughts of loss, thoughts of fear....

So, staying Above the Horizon Line is about knowing where you are at, at all times, making sure you know where on the thought continuum your thoughts are...

Negative thoughts..

Thoughts of fear..

Thoughts of worry...

Thoughts of failure..

= Stress, Anxiety, and Bad Performances.....

Positive thoughts...

Thoughts of winning..

Thoughts of success..

Thoughts of you being king/queen..

Thoughts of you making the winning play.. locking down the big deal...

= Happiness, Success, Positive Feelings of Self...

This is critical that you understand where you are on the Horizon....

Think about it...

A great exercise is to write down your thoughts of fear you typically have and write them under the horizon line... and then.. write down those positive thoughts you are having, or want to have... and make those your daily affirmations you tell yourself!

Let's go...

It's time to start dreaming again.. and staying above the Horizon Line!
