Hey Team!

Every once in a while... I have some of our team members send me some nuggets of advice they received along their journey that changed their path...

This acronym for the word Champion was sent to me a few months ago.. and I wanted to share it with you!

You see, I am not sure if you can tell by now.. but I am an Old School, focus on the fundamentals type guy. I believe that greatness is built on core, foundational principles like:

Better Leaders = Better Players

The Right Action = Results

Great Character = Building Block of a Great Leader

Hard Work + Talent = Success

Consistency Over Time = Results

*There is NO Instant Gratification in Life (from my dad)

Winning = The Results of a Daily Process, Habits, and Routines

That is why I really loved the acronym sent to me based on the word: CHAMPION.

Let's face it.. we all want to be Champions.. the question we need to always answer for ourselves is: DO WE FEEL WORTHY?

Do we feel worthy of becoming a champion?

I have struggled with that personally at times in my life. Worthiness.

It was as if I was waiting for a magical moment to happen... and then I would be worthy.

Or.. I was waiting to reach this age.. and then I would be worthy...Or.. I was waiting to reach a certain financial level... and then I would be worthy..

Can you relate to this internal drama?

Well.. worthiness starts with a DECLARATION.

Declare to yourself you are worthy.

Say it: I AM WORTHY OF GREATNESS...

Because:

#1: I put in the work...

#2: I am committed to my mission, vision, and goals

#3: I am passionate about my work...

#4: I am  focused on the little things.. the details.. and the process

#5: I love to help others win as much as myself..

That is the first step to becoming a champion.. worthiness.

Now let's look at the word Champion.

C- Courage (and Confidence)

H-Heart (and Habits)

A- Aggressive (and Accountable)

M-Mentally Tough (and Mindful of Situation)

P-Plays for the Team (and Practices with objectives)

I-Intense (and Intentional)

O-Organized (and Open-Minded)

N- Never Gives Up (and Never Accepts Poor Effort)

You see, being a Champion takes a lot of work... some work you are conscious of.. and other work you may not be aware of.. but it always takes work..

Take today's blog and share it with your team.. or those you lead.. even your family..

It is important that those around you are thinking about "game elevation" so they can take their personal game to the next level...

We all need a Coach in life...

Let's go.

Cheers... To The Champion in All of Us!
