Hey Team!

It is October 15th.....my birthday!

Party time... haha.. just kidding... some celebrating later... but for now, it is time to get some work done!

I wanted to share with you a little ritual I started years ago... and have continued since.

I call this my Birthday Reset/ Charge....

What the heck does that mean?

Well, it is basically taking time today to appreciate where I have been, what I have done, cheers all the great people in my life (both current and past), and then ask myself as simple question: What are you looking to do this year?

You see, I look at every birthday as a chance to reset, recharge, and focus on your directionality (and as a day to enjoy!).....

As a Type-A, Go-Getter, we are always chasing... but this is a good day to really make sure you I / we are running in the right direction... towards our goals  that align with who we are today....

Not last year, not 5-years ago...today.

So, I always like to reshape my vision on this day... and I start with a few questions that need answers:

  • What would you like to accomplish this year? (Stretch)
  • What are you most proud of from last year?
  • What could you improve from last year?
  • What is something you have been shying away from and want to go after this year?

Simple questions. Sometimes more complicated answers...but, ultimately, keeping it simple is the best. 

One thing I am grateful for this year is the amazing clients I get to work with each day.... and how the relationships we have formed have been truly rewarding and a blessing.

We work together, help each other, support each other, and most importantly push each other to achieve more, become more, and give more to others.....

This next year, I am going back after a hard goal of getting back to my High School weight and pant size.... will it take dedication? Yup.

Will I have to make some changes? Yup.

More discipline? Yup.

But, it will be so worth it.

Another thing I am really happy about from this past year is the release of my book, Habits of a Champion, and, my new kids book, Champion Kids: Johnny the Jet Saves the Day.....

And, I am really grateful to all of YOU.

All of you for reading, supporting, and sharing this blog that is going on 4-years old. 

Every morning I get to write this blog (my passion), share my stories of motivation, inspiration, health, and fitness with you......

And the support has been amazing....

So, as I get ready to take on my day, I wanted to thank all of you.

I will continue to give you all I have for the next year... and if there is anything I can do to make you experience better... let me know!

Now, even though it may not be your special day, think about the questions above and how you can apply those to your life today....

If your ship needs steering, grab the wheel.... make the changes today...

Leave the excuses for those Low Performance Players!...
