That is the Power of Coaching...
To help somebody free the resistance they have around a certain subject, thought, or idea..... and helping them to gain the clarity they need to take action...
Coaching must always distill down to the next action....
What are you going to do now?
Now- let me coach you today.....
What is the idea, thought, or resistance you are dealing with right now?
Where are you getting jammed?
Is it the emotions that the idea is kicking up in you?
Or, are you feeling that you lack readiness or preparedness to act on the idea?
What is it?
Remember, coaching is about getting you to your next most simple action....
Then, you take that action and as a result, you are ready for the next one....
This cycle repeats over and over and over... and the end result is progress, growth, and advancement of an idea....
Now, here is the thing...
Sometimes, we take these actions and we get to the point that say:
Now, even if you have to blow up the idea you are working on or have financed...
It is OK because you took action...
***Too often we try to over-build and over-forecast in our heads what something is going to be, look like, feel like, or turn into....
STOP IT.
That is where your wires get crossed and turn hot...
Instead, take the next best, most simple action...
As a result, you will have a live case study going on and then you can make a decision to pause, stop, or continue....
Most people I coach in business and sports just need the confidence to take those first simple actions....
Once they do, they get more and more clear.
If you are struggling for clarity, take the next most simple action.
Spending too much time in your head is one of the most dangerous things one can do as it is a total progress killer...
It has a huge cost....
Your energy, your belief, and your sanity....
Next time you feel a jam, ask yourself this: "What is my next most simple action?"...
Then take it...
Or else I am going to come and kick your ass!
