A few weeks ago I was walking through the State Park up in Saratoga, NY and I saw one of the coolest buses/ musician trailers ever...

It was the trailer of guitarist JOE BONAMASSA.

At the time, I had no idea who this was.

What I did know is that I had nothing to do that evening and would love to have gone to see an inspiring concert...

That is exactly what happened.

There is something intriguing to me about solo traveling and seeing where the wind takes you..

That evening I was greeted by the sound of a FENDER LES PAUL Guitar that was played by, who I later found out to be, one of the greatest guitar players of our generation:

After seeing he would be at the Beacon Theatre last night, I knew I had to go back.

To see somebody absolutely master their craft, taking their natural talent and blending it with their passion to electrify a stage & crowd was magical.

This man owns the guitar. He owns his music. He owns his stage showmanship.

Watching him play, much like watching players like Derek Jeter, Michael Jordan, and other greats in big arena sports and arts, is truly amazing.

It really got me thinking: "Do people even know what their natural talents and propensities are?"

"Do people take the time to really feel and see what they are good at?"

Could you imagine if that "thing" you are running away from or see as a "problem" because it comes easy and natural to you is actually what you should be doing everyday?

What if that is your superpower? What if that is your guitar and you are Joltin Joe B?

I often think about talent.

I have been fortunate enough to be around so much of it that I often ask myself what mine is?

Do you do the same?

The feeling of approaching each day with passion and fulfillment is amazing...

So many people today are medicating themselves or numbing themselves because they are simply not fulfilled in their day to day.

Have they not discovered their talent or are they running from it?

I know somebody that is a tremendous musician... and because of an audition years ago that left him feeling like " I am just not that good".. he believed this story and has been searching ever since for that "thing" that will fill him up...

The reality is... he is running from his natural talent and gift...

Nothing will ever fill that soul...

Being that we are heading towards the weekend... take some time to think about what you are doing...

Where are you forcing things and where are they coming naturally? What thoughts and work naturally lights you up?

And.... when you do begin that journey..

Put your heart, passion, and energy into it...

Everything you got...

The rewards will come first in terms of personal fulfillment...

Financials come last...
