Some of you may be wondering who this is.. Some of you may already know who this man is...
Some of you may be thinking I have seen him.. and he is just too much for me..
That was me.
Too much for me.
Loud. Aggressive. Partially Arrogant.
This changed when I watched his documentary on NETFLIX a few nights ago called MY MAGNIFICENT OBSESSION.
I truly enjoyed it. From start to finish.
Why the change of heart you ask?
One Word: OBSESSION.
Another Word: PASSION.
Lastly: CONVICTION.
In a World where these 3 words are found in epic scarcity, it is extremely motivating and refreshing to see somebody put themselves out there in the RAW with a very organic and simple mission: INSPIRE OTHERS.
Now, CT uses strong language and is not afraid to speak of a rough past on the streets of Compton, California to motivate his tribe.
But looking past all of this you find somebody that gets his bucket filled by filling that of others.
Teaching OBSESSION is what it takes to make it in everything you do.
I concur.
I am yet to run across an athlete, musician, CEO, artist, or any high performer that did not come from a place of OBSESSION.
What are you obsessed about?
What owns your mind?
Is it what you can't do? What you wish you could do?
Whatever it is... change the can't to CAN and start working on it. How do you do it? Stop talking about it and take the smallest possible action...
Want to get in shape?
Walk. Jog. Do 10 squats. DO SOMETHING that makes your mind and body connect that CHANGE is COMING.
Now, I am not writing this as a generalized motivational piece. I am writing this to really get you to think about what your OBSESSION is..
Looking at my life, I was obsessed with baseball. Obsessed with training. Obsessed with the Yankees... all of that blended together with day to day work... and BOOM! Victory...
Same was true with building state of the art training facilities... OBSESSION... and BOOM! Victory..
I will finish with this.. you can not force OBSESSION.. it is within you.. Quiet your noise and really start to think about and ask yourself what you are OBSESSED with..
Look at your habits, patterns, and thoughts.. what is the consistent theme? What if you constant distraction was actually where you should be headed towards rather than pulling away from?
GO GET IT.#likeapro
