Now many of you may read today's headline and think.. "here we go.. he's going to tell us to do an hour of "unable to talk" cardio to get these extra calories burned.. 

I will have you know.. ( cardio is part of the equation... but not the key to today's message)...

Since we mentioned cardio.. let's put it in play.. and then move on to TURNING UP THE HEAT!

 

So.. since Thursday is usually a High Calorie Intake Day..(statistically one of the biggest).. lets put our plan in place:

 

STEP 1: Upon Rising, 8-10oz of water with lemon and a pinch of cayenne pepper. (this will actually clean you out and get your digestive track free and clear)

 

STEP 2: Early Morning Cardio on an Empty Stomach.. lets give ourselves a good 30 minutes of "hard work".. focused on working above the TALK LINE.. meaning for the majority of your training, if asked to SPEAK, it would be hard for you to complete clear sentences without taking breath in between..

STEP 3: Lighten Your Calories Early in the Day.. almost participate in an Intermittent Fast.. where your morning consists of light fruits and cooked vegetables.. this again will be lighter on your digestion.. and later, once you start eating.. you will actually get fuller faster.

STEP 4: Drink Water All Morning & Afternoon.. 1/2 your body weight in ounces is preferred to promote optimal hydration.. again, being properly hydrated will help keep your stomach more full, leading to less consumption

STEP 5: EAT!! Now when building your plate, give yourself some parameters.. focus mostly on the PROTEIN & VEGETABLES.. and whatever you choose, must fit on a standard plate, no more than 1 inch above plate level!

STEP 6: DESSERT... when it comes to your dessert, make sure you grab a small plastic dessert plate or coffee saucer.. the rule is WHATEVER YOU CAN FIT, you can eat.. again staying 1 inch above plate level and never higher!

**STEP 7...TURN UP THE HEAT...This is what today's blog is about..

You can combat the feeling of fullness and bloating if you are able to find a heat source after dinner... 

Meaning, if you can get your body in a HOT BATH (hotter than your average) or a SAUNA/STEAM or even placing a heat back on your stomach after you eat, that will bring lots of blood to your stomach and organ area, helping to move the food along.. and out!

I have been using this trick for years.. and it is amazing...

You will feel like the meal is signed, sealed, digested in no time.. 

At the end of the HOT BATH/ SHOWER/ SOAK/ STEAM/SAUNA.. take a COLD SHOWER... as COLD as you can tolerate.. and you will feel OUTSTANDING..

Now.. I am not trying to make you crazy on a holiday.. but this is a  STRATEGY I have used.. that allows me to eat everything (just about) I want.. without paying the price the next day!
