Hey Team!
Have you ever felt like you have to do something, but, for some reason you just don't do it?
That thing would be so good for you to do.
It would bring you closer to goal, but, you just don't do it.
You create reasons WHY you can't, or, why you will do it tomorrow, but then tomorrow comes and you are running the same play.
Can you relate?
It is usually surrounding 3-areas of life that this happens:
1. Health, Fitness & Nutrition
2. Work Tasks That Come with Heavier Emotion
3. Areas/ Levels That You Feel You Have Already Past or Graduated From..
Let's break it down...
I firmly believe that our mind works in habitual patterns of thought.. which lead to habitual patterns of action....
Some of these patterns serve us well, others used to serve us well, but don't any more.
When we keep a thought loop going that no longer serves us it is often because we are comfortable...
Also, it could be because we are tired and fatigued... and creating new thought loops and patterns takes some upfront energy that you may not currently have!
This is why it is so important to recover yourself each day...
This way you can avoid the non-serving loops and habits of thoughts.. and overcome them by slowly introducing new patterns of thought and action...
Let's use diet for example...
You know you have to cut out sugar.... yet, you have been working crazy hours at work, not sleeping great, and you have some late dinner meetings this week...
Is cutting out sugar really going to happen this week? Nope.
Not unless you adjust your hours at work, start going to bed earlier so you can sleep longer and deeper which will allow you to wake up feeling fresh and rejuvenated.
At that point, you can make your breakfast, lunch, and plan for a healthy dinner...
Same is true for exercise...
If you have not been sleeping well, been dealing with stress at work and maybe even at home with non-compliant children... you are going to still maybe go to the gym, but, you will find the path of least resistance... literally.
Subbing an aggressive running session for the elliptical, and, what would of been a great weight training session for stress relief and building your body for the steam-room.
Make sense?
For tasks that may seem below us, or things we have graduated from like throwing out the garbage, attending that low level meeting, or making a call to the insurance company which will keep you on the phone for 30+ minutes.. when we are fried, the desire to do these things becomes even lower.
We are past this stuff... and therefore we are past it and would rather not do it.. so we often don't and put it off until it totally backs up...
So, why do I mention all this?
You must realize the strength of your mind will determine the strength of your actions.
If you are tired, fatigued, and poorly worked/ nourished, you will have no chance.
If you are rested, well nourished, and have healthy working hours and a solid plan, your chances for winning go through the roof.
Strong Mind = Strong Action = Strong Results.
