Hey Team...

Yesterday I was doing a Zoom Coaching Call with the team at Keller Williams Realty....

It always excites me to see how excited and enthusiastic people are to learn, better their skills, and be around more like minded people that think the same way....

It actually blows my mind that many Companies have waited until quarantine in order to spend time and resources developing their people...

On yesterdays call, we talked about performance...

We took a deep dive into what makes high performers successful....

AND, what holds most people back...

Here is what I let them know...

If you are spending most of your time trying not to fail, you are playing defense.

Coach, how could I be playing defense if I am taking action?

Well, it is critical that we understand the source of our actions..

Trying NOT to fail is 100% a defensive strategy...

Playing to win is 100% an offensive strategy...

What is it that is driving you?

Now, I also let them know yo can be excited and motivated by negativity...

Never wanting to go back to where you came from because you desire more...

That can motivate you to hit new levels of motivation.....

But playing to not look bad.....

Playing to not lose....

Playing to not fail...

All bad ideas....

Why?

Because you are focusing on what you are trying not to do instead of what you are planning to-do and going to-do....

Think about it like this...

You can never have two visions....

You can not have a vision of trying not to do something while at the same time say you are focused on making something happen...

It just does not work like this....

So, as you attack your day today, ask this question:

WHAT IS DRIVING MY ACTIONS?

Make sure you are honest with yourself in your answer....

Got it?
