Hi Team...

Well, just finished my Peloton ride... and this AM I coupled it with watching Springsteen on Broadway on Netflix for.. well.. about the 5th time...

I love it.

I know Bruce is an acquired taste... and he has definitely been acquired long ago in this house!

What is it?

For me, it is that blue collar mentality and the lyrics of the common man.. showing him/her that anything is possible...

You can come from any town USA and you have a chance to Rock the World.. Not just the USA :)

Life really is a blank piece of paper....

But many are afraid to pick up the pen...

Since things have slowed down a bit... I have gone more analogue...

Taking my mind back to a simpler time of growing up in the 80's....

Back to the times where you spent most of your day outside in your home town thinking about the possibilities... or, well, nothing at all....

The World was big... you were a small piece... but you weren't afraid of anything.. you weren't afraid to take it on!...

A challenge was fun and exciting....

You were not analytical enough to back down from it just yet....

You were excited for the opportunity....

Filled with passion....

A desire for the unknown because of the uncertainty that surrounded it...ย

Uncertainty was fun....

Then, something happens to us....

And we get scared....

  • We freeze....
  • We become less about exploration and more about protection of self.....
  • We do what is right...
  • We do what is safe...

We stop challenging ourselves without worrying about the consequences/ possible poor results....

What does that lead to?

It leads to a part of us dying off...

That teen spirit that is exchanged for "old wisdom"... so we think....

But ultimately, it leaves many pent up and frustrated.... and that is the worst way to live....

So, as we take on the day.....

Open your mind..

Remember those days of old where you were FREE....

You were open to exploration, expression, and would do anything for your dream...

No matter how crazy it seemed....

Get back to the land of make believe and allow it to re-stimulate the massive creative, risk taker within you....

WE are all in this together....

WE all have a blank canvas in front of us....

What are you going to put on it?

Take on today with a new energy.....

Go back to "those days"....

Enjoy them... and use that energy to catapult forward!

BE THE BOSS.

Let's GO!
