Every few months, I try to get together with a long time friend and talk about life!
And... everything in between....
This week, I met with my good buddy, Kevin Wilson. Kevin is one of the greatest guys you could ever meet....
Also.. he is a world class hitting instructor.. hired by some of the top players in Major League Baseball... but not only for his skills as a hitting coach.. but for his genuine spirit and care for others....
Whenever Kevin and I get together.... we usually end up focusing on one important thing: BEING THE LEAD DOG....
Not from an ego standpoint, but working to strengthen ourselves from within so are reminded that rather than adapt, or do things for the fame, and outward appearance of success.. do things that you are truly passionate about...
Do not join the crowd... run your own race....
Even if the track may be empty... keep running your own race...
If everybody else is doing "that"... you dial in and do "this"... "this" meaning what is good for you... and your family.. and is in line with your core values ,beliefs, and standards....
Simple.
We are so tempted today to adapt. To look at what so and so is doing... but that is not your life...
What they are doing... their timelines.. and what they are executing on is not your plan....
Spend your days realizing what you are supposed to do....
Quiet the noise inside of you....
That is the only way you will hear and feel what your calling is...
Even if you found your calling... quieting that noise will allow you to feel and hear your next move.....
Always stay within yourself....
Lead your tribe...
Lead your pack...
Believe in yourself....
Believe in your vision even when there is darkness....
That is the only way to find light... (eventually).....
And... forget your timelines... they never work!
So.. these are few bullets from our meeting!
I am telling you... if you let this be your roadmap... you will win the long game!
