Hi Team...

Today, I want to remind you to stop wasting time...

There is too much time being wasted in a time where there is too little time to begin with (don't believe me- just think about how many times people tell you they are busy!)...

I have been hearing a MAJOR recurring theme lately from those I coach...

"Coach, I can not stand all these meetings in my calendar. They just keep running on and on and on."


People love to host meetings and waste time.

People love to give their calendar away- give their time away.

Then, they love to bitch about being so busy and not having time.

This is how it works.

I called it the Cycle of Busy-ness...

I dedicated a whole chapter to this in my new book, Habits of a Champion Team titled: Most teams are wasting time, so stop it.

Too often we would rather choose low resistance activity like meetings..

For the most part, they are easy.

Easier than doing work.

So, we have more of them.

Meetings have become either a therapy session for leaders to get out what they need to get out OR an illusion of progress (when meetings are not totally planned with a desired outcome spoken of at the start of the meeting)....

What if you managed your daily clock like a sports clock...

There was a clear start and clear stop.

Game on, game off.

All predictable.

That can happen if you show up with a clear start and clear stop on all things...

  • I am a stickler with my schedule and time...
  • I can predict when my day starts and ends because I control it.
  • I can predict when my workout starts and ends because I control it.
  • I can predict how I will feel after every meal because I plan the meal and the timing.
  • I can predict how I will feel most mornings when I get up because I control when I get up.
  • I can predict when I will feel fatigue during the day because each day it hits me at the same time... bed time.

You see- when you control all these factors you have predicability of feeling and emotion and outcome (for the most part)...

This is key.

Stop adapting by giving your time away.

It is too risky and it is too dangerous.

You must remain in control of what you can control.

You can do this.

Let's go!

Stop wasting time!
