Hi Team...

This week I did A LOT of coaching....

Companies, teams, and individuals.... the full gamut....

My lesson for reach was based on the premise of "how to maximize productivity, focus, and overall performance"....

This is what most people want I have come to find.. along the happiness, safety, and security..

Optimized performance those begins with one main focus: NOT WASTING TIME...

And, knowing where you time is going and how it is being used..

Most people have no idea where the time goes.....

Those who are "floaters" or reactive types- well they really have not a clue where it goes because they are like a hockey goalie.. reacting, deflecting, adjusting, and just trying to keep their head above water... 

They look up.. and time has just disappeared.. sort of like being on social media...

Now, for the uber "planners" out there... they are on the right track...

Planned, organized, scheduled....

But, without clear goals and objectives.. these individuals just find themselves at-work all of the time...

So what do we do?

We start by coming up with our MAIN OBJECTIVE for the day... 

The one thing that needs to get done that makes the day a success.....

WRITE THAT DOWN. (the night before)

Then, what we need to do is begin accounting for our time...

I recommend doing that like the example below...

PERSONAL BLOCK 1

  • Wake Up
  • Workout 
  • Shower
  • Eat
  • Read

WORK-BLOCK 1

  • Start Your Day With Your Most Thought Intensive Activities (Or, Your IPA's, Income Producing Activities)

This excludes emails, social media, or anything that requires low thought

LUNCH

___________________________

WORK-BLOCK 2

  • Now, since you will have some fatigue setting in from the hard morning work, you will start on some of those low thought activities: emails, calls, social connecting
  • Ideas, dreams, growth thoughts, meetings with team, staff, etc.

DINNER

__________________________

PERSONAL BLOCK 2

  • Spend time with family, friends, read, relax...

__________________________

BED-TIME

You see, when you start with this structure, you now gave your day structure.

You now can build out "what" activities are important and place them in the appropriate block...

Personally, PERSONAL BLOCK 1 always sets the tone for the day...

Why?

Well, because I got "ME" taken care of...

Then, I have so much more to give everyone else!

Got it?

Following this structure will work and will give you full accountability for your time..

Now, do things come up that alter your ability to follow this at times? Yup.

But, that is 10% of the time...

This structure is 90% of the time... and, if you build your day this way, you will do some serious winning.

Trust me.

My worst days are when I just "see what happens"....

I leave some space for that, yes, I do. But, we need a winning structure if we are going to win with consistency...
